Subject: Order in Which VAPs Are Loaded
Date: July 25, 1990
OS Version: 286 2.1X
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
GENERAL
INFORMATION: Many of us have been wondering about the order in which VAPs
are loaded and how to change that order.
When the OS comes up, one of the things it does is look in
the SYS:SYSTEM directory for *.VP? and *.VAP files. The OS first loads the
*.VP? files in the order specified by the *.VP? such as *.VP0 first, *.VP1
second, etc. Next, it loads the *.VAP files based on the order they are
listed in the SYS:SYSTEM directory.
If you want your VAPs loaded in a specific order, then
rename them to *.VP?.
